I don’t know about you, but 2025 has been a non-stop, emotional, cortisol-injected roller coaster.

I journal daily about gratitude to help refocus my attention and energy on the positive, but some days—or weeks, or, months, or years—are a struggle!

As the days grow shorter and colder in the Northern Hemisphere, now is the perfect time to level up gratitude by sharing it with community. That’s right, it’s time for my annual Gratitude Spinalong!

Sometimes we forgot to be grateful for the blessings in our lives, whether they be big or small. This beautiful spinning hobby is just one of many things that graces our lives, so let’s use it to express gratitude!

Official Gratitude Spinalong Rules

 First and foremost: no stress! If participating daily (or at all) would cause you stress, please sit this one out.

 From November 1 – 30, 2025, make time each day to reflect on things for which you are grateful, and to spin for at least fifteen minutes. You are welcome to share updates through daily posts, comments, or just quietly holding your gratitude in the light of your presence.

Join us wherever you are: Spanish Peacock Flock FB Page, Discord, Instagram, or Blue Sky.

• On Instagram and Blue Sky, use the hashtags #peahennostresspinalong and #gratitudespinalong.
• For spinners on the FB or Discord groups, I’ll share a daily gratitude as part of each day’s spinalong thread for progress photos.
• Participants are encouraged, though not required, to share what they are grateful for when they post spinalong updates. Nothing is too big or too small—or too cheeky or funny, depending on where you are at the moment. Heck, some days I am just grateful I didn’t burn dinner! I believe the more we all share, the more we will collectively remember that we actually have it pretty good, despite everything going around us.

Join us however you can: any fiber, any spinning method, and any tool by any maker is welcome during this spinalong.

NOTE: In previous years, this spinalong has included prizes. Unfortunately due to logistical challenges there will not be prizes for the 2025 Gratitude Spinalong. Hopefully things will settle down enough to allow prizes for future spinalongs in 2026.
